A Movember Update: Why We Mo

Movember has been an entertaining, interesting and at times embarrassing month. From the looks we garnered around the office, in public, or from family, friends and loved ones, it is at times hard to justify the Moustache. This is all easily rectified once you inform the onlookers about the underlying cause, raising awareness for Prostate Cancer. As a group, we have had a great time watching the progress our MOs have made and enjoying a good laugh. Another fun part about Movember is the instant connection we have with strangers who are rocking the MO! It has been great to hear stories from them and see how many people are helping to fight this cause! Another very important aspect of Movember is the support we get from our MO Sistas! Male or Female you are able to raise awareness for Movember which is vital to the cause. The absolute best part about it though, is the fact that with each inch of MO grown, we are raising awareness and money to help support a worthy cause.
Funny Stories from the Movember Crew
Geoff Akie – almost had to sit at the kids table during thanksgiving due to his Mo.
Ron Mooney – Women aren’t staring at me because they suddenly find me attractive.
Nisit Patel – It was going swimmingly until Thanksgiving, at which point calling me “Stranger Danger” was in full swing from my cousin’s and their kids. Good times.
James Smith – We’ve all learned that changing the face of men’s health is not an easy thing to do this month. Thankfully I’ve had my fellow Mo Bros and Sistas to walk the road with, along with encouraging words from loved ones like my girlfriend who’s initial response once my Mo arrived was… “EWWW what did you do to your face!”
Arleah Clark – Lunches during Movember have been especially memorable this past month at Tavern in The Square. Their entire staff has embraced the Mohood. Nothing like silent nods of comradery and appreciation of a shared hairy journey over a delicious meal.
